What is “Self-Care”?
Self-Care simply means taking care of ourselves!
Taking care of our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
We can start with the basics by eating healthily, exercising and getting enough sleep etc
But it also means taking time to do the things that help us to live well so that we can navigate the challenges we often face in everyday life.
This could be something as simple as reading a book, having a nap, watching a film, taking a walk or meeting a friend for lunch. Alternatively it could also be something more adventurous such as sailing a boat or rock climbing!
The thing to remember is that self-care looks different for each of us so try not to compare yourself to what other people choose to do!
Whatever self-care activities and routines you choose to do they should feel nourishing and enrich your life in some way! 🤗
